1990 Porsche 964 Backdate 911
What started life as a oak green metallic euro Porsche 911 C4 is now this beautiful backdate. The idea behind a backdated 964 is brilliant, give an appearance of a much older vintage hot rod with a more powerful motor, better brakes, suspension and modern amenities such as AC power steering and heat. This particular backdate has been fitted with a one off RSR style front bumper with a molded front lip. Factory H4 glass headlights are still present and euro only with height level adjustment. Rear duckbill also is RSR style and finishes off the rear of the car nicely. Rear 964 corner lights are OEM and brand new from Porsche free of any cracks or damage. OZ Futura wheels were just rebuilt with freshly powder coated faces all new seals and wrapped in brand new Falken Azenis tires on all 4 corners. Paint is in good condition overall with some small cracks in the front driver fender hardly noticeable at the front of the car.
The car has a ton of goodies installed and good amount ofrecent work done to get it to as close to finished as possible. Starting with the engine the 3.6L flat 6 has been equipped with a Gruppe M carbon intake, custom headers, and titanium exhaust that sounds incredible. ATS limited slip differential has been fitted. Lightweight flywheel provides quick revs and several suspension modifications have been performed. A throw out bearing/ clutch will be needed in the future there is no slippage or grinds but it is evident in the feel of the gearbox when you drive it the throw out bearing makes noise when engaged. A new set of H and R coil overs were just installed. Front has Rennline camber plates and the car just had a fresh steering rack installed. Adding to the suspension mods which improved the handling and stiffening of the chassis the front was also fitted with an FVD strut bar. A custom swirl pot was installed in the front.
We just did a full service on the car including fresh oil change, transmission fluid flush and replace, as well as full differentials service front and rear. The car has lights on for ABS system we replaced the ABS pump but it didn’t solve the issue. ABS currently is disconnected. The car is fitted with Porsche 964 turbo “BIG REDs” big brake upgrade front and rear but is not power assisted.
Interior is race inspired and very neat. Recaro pole position SPGs replace standard seats however if you prefer regular seats they can be installed at no additional cost. Seats are in great shape and are fitted with the appropriate sliders for adjustability. Recently RS door cards have been added and color matched green. Driver seat has a red 5 point Schroth seat belt harness. Factory seat belts also are still in place. Steering wheel has been upgraded to a MOMO alcantara one. A radio delete has been performed. Rear seat delete was performed and rear was fitted with a Saito half cage. Carpet kit throughout the interior is new. The front has Rennline aluminum kickplates installed. The car still has factory cold air conditioning and functional heater. Other notable creature comforts that are still functional in the car is power windows power sunroof and power steering.
The car overall is a very nice sport purpose build. It still requires a few odds and ends to be 100% and it reflects in the price. Dont miss the walkaround and drive in video that is posted below on youtube..
