1992 Porsche 911 Carrera RS
This could very well be the ultimate 964 RS available for purchase in the world. A euro model built for the Japanese market which was imported to Japan by MIZWA the sole importer for Porsche at the time. This is just 1 of 2,276 Porsche 964 Carrera RS ever made. The car has been modified to be the pinnacle of air cooled n/a dual purpose street car.
In an effort to lighten the weigh the car has been modified. Although the body looks factory the front and rear fenders are dry carbon as well as the hood and decklid. The factory sunroof delete is original as well as the factory aluminum doors. Car maintains factory lightweight glass which helps bring the weight down even further. The paint on the car is in good condition and if you look closely you can see the carbon weave on the aforementioned carbon parts. The car currently sits on color matched Enkei lightweight PF05 wheels wrapped in brand new Michelin Pilot sport tires on all 4 corners.
A full RSR drivetrain compliments its aggressive looks. Sorted from Freisinger Motorsports they are well known for some of the rarest Porsche race parts worldwide, The previous owner opted to go with the 993 3.8 RSR kit which mated to a G50/30 993 RSR cup 6 speed manual transmission. Brutally fast, un matched intake noises. Paired with the titanium exhaust it truly is an absolute pleasure to drive as well as hear.
The car not only has a superior drivetrain compared to a stock RS. The car has fully adjustable range coil over suspension. Front shock towers have factory RS mono ball mounts. Brakes have been upgraded front and rear to Brembo F50 brakes with 2 piece floating rotors. Mounted on the center console is a Willwood brake bias controller so you can adjust the proportion of the braking forces between front and rear in order to maximize overall braking efficiency.
Needless to say the driving experience is fantastic. An analog operation feeling that Porsche does not have now, and a form of handling where driving skills are tested. Its a feeling you simply don’t get tired of. It is a car that is pure joy and can be enjoyed in any speed range and situation from the city to winding and high speed.
Interior is tidy with upgrades to the front seats as they were replaced by a pair of Recaro SPA bucket seats with appropriate sliders. Driver seat has a red Sabelt 5 point safety harness. Both doors have RS door cards and RS pulls. The 6 point neatly padded roll cage provides rigidity and is non intrusive. A quite rare 3 spoke Momo “machine works” alcantara steering wheel has been added. All the factory gauges function as they should the factory RPM gauge has been upgraded to a stack branded one with a shift light. Car retains factory RS carpeting with the Carrera RS insignia in the rear of the cabin.
