This 1977 Nissan Skyline GT2000 is finished in silver over a black interior. The car was imported to the US from Japan in 2007 and has spent the majority of its time here in the United states in sunny south Florida. The bodywork was refinished in silver prior to importation around 2007, and there is evidence of red paint in areas. The car spent a couple of years in California before coming to Florida. Fender-mounded mirrors and fender flares are fitted and finished in satin black. Other GT-R-style modifications include GT-R badging, a front chin spoiler, and a rear wing. There are Various chips, scratches, and dings. The car is incredibly solid the floors are original and true with no holes and minor surface corrosion as seen in the photos. Ride height has been achieved by suspension modifications that include custom front coil-overs with Tein adjustable camber plates along with lowering springs in the rear. The car sits beautifully on 14″ Watanabe wheels with Yokohama Avid tires that are sized 215/60 in front and 225/60 out back, and show date codes from 2005 and 2006. The GTR look is completed with front and rear spoilers, fender flares, a Datsun competition steering wheel, and GT-R badging and trim.
The interior features front and rear seats trimmed in black vinyl with color-matching door panels, carpeting, and plastic trim. Three-point front seatbelts are installed, and an aftermarket cassette radio is fitted in the center console, though the seller notes that it is not wired to a power source. A leather-wrapped Datsun competition steering wheel fronts a black dashboard featuring faux-wood trim, which houses factory instrumentation including a 165-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows just under 74k kilometers. The water temperature is not functioning. A factory clock is also present, and other equipment includes power mirrors, a heater and defroster, and manually operated windows.
Engine has been swapped with a 2.8-liter L28ET straight-six from a 280ZX Turbo was installed in place of the original 2.0-liter L20 after the car was imported. The factory-turbocharged engine features electronic fuel injection and was rated at 180 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 203 lb-ft of torque at 2,800 rpm in its original configuration. An aftermarket strut tower brace has been added, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. When cold there is a lifter noise that eventually subsides after driving and allowing the car to get to normal operating temperatures. The car gets on boost nicely and feels very light and nimble. Brakes were recently flushed and stopping power is strong and efficient.
