1986 Porsche 911 RSR Backdate Hotrod
This Porsche 911 started life as a 1986 Porsche 911 euro ( rest of world ) no sunroof coupe. The car since then transformed into an absolutely beautiful sport purpose machine. The paintwork throughout the car is nearly flawless. The fiberglass RSR widebody is perfectly executed and gives the car a wider track for maximum grip and provides a beautiful look. Weighing in under 2500 pounds the cars power to weigh ratio is off the charts.
The cars performance was enhanced in several ways. Starting off with the motor, our 911 has a Porsche 993 Flat 6 3.6L powerplant. Factory power numbers out of this motor is 272 Horsepower. The motor was fitted with PMO Carburetors, headers and exhaust enhancing power and sound. The transmission is a built 915 transmission with a lightweight flywheel. Rear end has been fitted with a Limited slip differential. The car was fitted with a larger 930 turbo oil cooler. Suspension wise the car has been converted to coil overs front and rear, rear being Spirit branded. Suspension is height adjustable and is very dialed in with just the right amount of stiffness to help while driving spiritedly but also not being so harsh where you cant just cruise it down the highway comfortably. Super wide lightweight wheels are in fantastic condition and are wrapped in Pirelli P7 Corsa tires on all 4 corners.
Interior wise the factory seats have been replaced with 2 Recaro SPGs with appropriate sliders. Driver seat has been fitted with Willians safety harness while the passenger side has a Sparco Safety harness. The factory seat belts are still present as seen in pictures. The rear seat has been deleted. Door cards have been upgraded to lighter weight RS door cards with RS door pulls. Additionally, A 3 spoke MOMO removable steering wheel has been fitted. Aluminum floor boards were installed throughout and appear beautifully with the 3 pedals in the driver footwell. A autometer sport tachometer was installed for more accurate RPM readings throughout the rev band. All other factory gauges in the car show nicely and function as they should. The car has no AC or Heat and also has a Radio delete performed.
Bottom of the car is like new. There is no rust and the jack points on the car are impeccable. The floors are clean, there is no signs of any leakage.
