The exterior of this machine needs no words to describe how one-of-a-kind it looks. Custom-built by Metal Model Body Shop located in Gunma Japan, this example wears a real Hasemi JGTC GT1 body kit that has been extended with a custom widebody. The JGTC bumper, fenders and wing were spares sourced from the UNICIA SECS factory team and are 100% genuine motorsport parts. The custom widebody features fender add-on aero with R35-style trim and other custom aerodynamic components on the fenders and quarter panels as well as a large rear diffuser making the car extremely aggressive compared to a stock-body 32R. Paintwork is in very good condition, painted in proper Nissan AH3 paint.
The Phantom R32 has assorted performance modifications to compliment the absolutely stunning exterior. Firstly, the factory turbochargers have been removed and an OEM-plus N1 setup has been installed, giving the RB26 increased response and power output. Boost is controlled by a Blitz SBC controller located on upper steering column. Durability and consistency were taken into consideration utilizing an upgraded intercooler, radiator, and N1 oil pump. The highlight of the powertrain setup is the exhaust. ___works installed a custom titanium JGTC inspired dual side exit exhaust complimented by a well-made aluminum headshield. The setup roars while increasing flow and response and mimics the sound of the original JGTC GT1 R32 racecars.
To improve handling, the R32 was fitted with Aragosta coilovers and Cusco front and rear strut bracing. Braking stability, performance and consistency was improved by utilizing R34 GTR calipers paired with upgraded larger slotted rotors. The R32 sits on a set of staggered 19″ SSR SP3R wheels which complete the standout look of this car.
The cockpit of the Phantom 32R is driver-focused but not overdone; you are greeted with a gorgeous alcantara Recaro RS-G bucket seat with a Takata four-point harness that guarantees security and driving confidence. The factory passenger seat and rear seats are still in the vehicle and are in amazing condition showing their original grayscale coloring. Steering input is supplied by a blue alcantara Sparco steering wheel with functional horn buttons. The original dash shows no cracks. Readout is supplied by four Racetech backlit gauges showing boost pressure, water temperature, oil temperature and oil pressure. All AC/radio controls work and air conditioning blows cold. Overall this interior setup, although sporty, is quite comfortable for frequent or prolonged use.
