Based on a very clean 1974 911, this chassis was chosen to be the donor of a special build by Matsuda of PLATZ-CCM well known for his elaborate builds with many one-off goods for each customer and a performance that is unmatched. 

Most recently the car was sent back to PLATZ for a full checkover, light refresh and some updates. We then took it a step further in usual RMC fashion and prepped it for a DE day and it performed…amazingly well. 

The 3.8L sounds like a banshee unleashed at WOT above 4k rpm. Under that and at partial throttle she feels like a tame street car matching its sleeper exterior. When looking at this car from a glance you would never expect it to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. A full flat bottom, upside down gt spoiler, big spicy brakes and polished front mounted oil cooler will leave the “ones that know” wanting to know more. 

The paint and body is in amazing condition and shows no signs of track wear since it was used mainly as a fully tuned canyon car with all the best parts. Drivability and street manners are very nice, and it does not lack comfort. But if needed the car is ready to go to war. 

The PLATZ SPL 3 way dampers based off of Crux offer full street and track capabilities. The process to convert a Gbody to coil-overs and g50 is not a simple task and to properly set up these 3ways you must a mad scientist… Platz was known for his amazing suspension, if we had to compare this would be the Osaka version of Promodet. The brake balance as seen in the video is incredible, at no point could we find the limit, just keep pushing the car deeper into the corners with no lock up or misbalance.

The G50 transmission is geared for street-ability and to be able to maintain high speeds if needed, again not too short for the top end, not too long to not be able to pull 5th gear to the 6800rpm redline. The OS Giken LSD allows for early throttle input without too much under or oversteer. The Aero keeps her planted on highway or track giving driver the confidence and stability needed to enjoy thoroughly.
