This 1995 R33 GT-R was imported as a good condition factory example and was fully built by HDWerks in South Florida to make over 800hp (730awhp) on the dyno using a fully overhauled RB26, a sequential transmission and modern Haltech management.
The factory AN0 exterior now wears an extremely well done bright red wrap and features assorted OEM + exterior bits such as a painted Nismo front lip, a 400R style rear wing element, carbon side skirts, carbon diffuser and refreshed headlights with xenon bulbs. The front bumper also houses a set of N1 ducts that improve airflow to the radiator and intercooler behind the bumper. The chassis sits on a set of white 18X10.5 squared Nismo LMGT4 wheels wrapped in Toyo R888R tires.
Powertrain & Drivetrain
The factory RB26 was replaced with a fully built unit. A forged bottom end and built head has been paired with a Xona Rotor 3500 turbocharger and Haltech S3 management producing a consistent 800hp on E85 with dyno sheets available. The ECU allowed for a drive by wire conversion and smooth, consistent idling even with a very aggressive cam.
Fueling is supplied by dual Walbro 450 in-tank fuel pumps, a Radium fuel rail and high flow injectors.
The powerplant has been paired with a new Quaife heavy duty 6-speed sequential transmission (with an optioned strain gauge) and Clutch Masters 1000hp dual disc clutch. Although intimidating, the drivetrain has good street mannerisms. The clutch is easy and gear engagement is crisp in applied-clutch and clutchless scenarios.
Footwork
The suspension setup allows power to be put down fully. This 33R has been equipped with a set of Ohlins Road and Track coilovers and Whiteline sway bars. The R&T’s settle the chassis but don’t give a harsh ride. The brakes are relatively stock with the exception of upgraded rotors, pads and braided lines. Overall its a setup that allows enthusiastic driving and matches the consistency of the power
Interior
The interior is completely stock with the exception of a Haltech IC7 display, a Haltech control board and the large shifter for the Quaife sequential. The factory R33 seats and dash present excellent condition and are very comfortable. It’s a setup that can be driven from Miami to Atlanta with ease even with the long build sheet for the rest of the car.
