1989 MAZDA FC3S R MAGIC WIDEBODY
Available now is this JDM Rx7 Legend. Recently Imported from Japan and now available for sale is this extremely unique and storied build. Spending its whole life in Japan the car was built and dialed in over the course of many years of fine tuning and perfecting to become one of the best driving Rx7s stateside. This FC has been completely repainted years ago in Japan to red. A flatter red race stripe follows from the middle of the hood front over the roof and down the rear hatch. Front fascia has its fair share of rock chips as expected from being driven. Front bumper for the car is a rare and very expensive RE Ameyiya brand. Rear diffuser and rear spoiler are also RE branded. Mirrors have been upgraded to JDM Ganadors which retail for over $2000. Vented lightweight Tamon design hood finished off the super aggressive body. The car has been lowered with NMB Coil over suspension & camber plates. Wheels are ENKEI RPF1 in 17s. The wheels are wrapped in ADVAN a050s on all 4 corners.
This build included a Engine upgrade as the intake manifold was swapped in with a 13B RU from the newer FD3S. Motor has been fitted with a twin scroll T04E Single turbo with numerous supporting mods. A Ron Davis racing radiator has been installed to keep water temperatures cool. Twin oversized Setrab oil coolers up front assist with keeping oil temperatures down in even the hottest environments. HKS twin power ignition helps provide the spark while it runs on an APEXI Power fc commander computer. Additionally a Carbing catch can has been added. In the hatch a Sard swirl pot has been installed to ensure fueling at any degree of banked turns or elevation. At the moment the car runs on low boost and is pushing somewhere between 300-350 horsepower respectively. Even under Miami Florida’s hot summer climate temperatures in traffic for extended period of time never passed 90 degrees C oil temp or 100 degrees C water temp. Braking setup in the front was upgraded to Z32 calipers for additional stopping power.
Interior is very clean. Driver seat is a Recaro SPG with Recaro sliders and is in mint condition. Passenger comfort sport seat shows nicely and is also in great shape. Driver seat has sabelt 4 point racing harness however both seats can still use the factory seat belts which are present. A radio and ac delete has been performed as well as glove box delete. On the glove box a custom aluminum plate is installed and holds the power fc commander unit. In the center console and on the driver pod there are multiple Defi gauges. These gauges include a Defi tachometer, oil pressure, boost gauge, and water temperature. Original steering wheel has been upgraded to a MOMO 3 spoke one. A half cage has been installed as well as a front Cusco strut bar to help with stability and stiffen the chassis for aggressive driving.
Driving this car is an absolute joy. The sound of the engine and exhaust is exhilarating. The hks waste gate sounds glorious when on boost and the acceleration puts a smile on your face from ear to ear. The steering is precise, there is little to no body roll thanks to the coliovers and ARC front/rear sway bars the car just feels completely dialed in. When driving it becomes an extension of the driver.The Bottom of the car is very clean. There is no rust or signs of any kind of previous accident history. The jack points are still in good condition showing the kind of proper maintenance this car has had throughout its lifetime.
