Vehicle Introduction

The dream of piloting a true racecar on the street is one that is shared by many in the automotive sphere, but there are some “slight” complications including but not limited to, lack of VIN number, not so street friendly proportions, only running on race gas, and so on and so forth. This FD RX7 is the answer to the desire for that experience, starting with a 1997 Type Rs AS Auto went about touching every system and component of the car with the parts list reading like a dream wish list. A Powertrain built by Revolution making 430hp, race prepped, stitchwelded chassis, RE Amemiya dry carbon body panels, Scoot vented hood, Esprit Dry carbon hard mounted wing, Revolution suspension, LMP1 spec AP racing brake setup, Rays wheels, every cooler imaginable, and a Hewland x Mazdaspeed JTCC 6 speed sequential gearbox. The result of all of this work is a RX7 that feels as if you’re behind the wheel of the JTCC race car, but on the outside appears to be a pretty radical streetcar.
