Now available is an extremely clean, showroom example of a real V-Spec R34R. Perhaps the most popular BNCR chassis, this 34R is the pinnacle of Y2K performance and culture. It still presents the OEM look and feel which still competes with the sport coupes of today. Finished in excellent condition bright QM1 White, this 34R is quite young, showing just over 60,000 kilometers. An already aggressive and rather timeless look is further complimented by a set of polished lip/gunmetal face BBS LM wheels. The interior is completely factory, in near perfect condition and features a combination of black leather on the dash with grey fabric seats standing out against the bright white exterior.
The engine bay is extremely clean presenting an array of OEM plus modifications. The iconic RB26 idles like it did coming off the assembly line and there is no misfire under load. The 6-speed GETRAG transmission shifts seamlessly as well. The air conditioning and period-correct Kenwood radio are fully functional. Additionally, the factory spare tire and factory tool set are included. The headlights present no fading or yellowing, and the dash, door cards and headliner are in excellent condition,
Power output for this 34R is increased due to an assortment of Nismo modifications. Firstly, the stock turbos have been replaced with N1 variants. N1 turbos have steel wheels rather than ceramic, slightly larger diameters on both the hot and cold side, and are ball bearing for the
34R compared to journal bearing for previous generations. A Nismo intake and charge pipes are also noted which just reinforce airflow in and out of the N1 turbos. On the exterior you notice a vent on the left side of the front bumper and not the right. This is the Nismo air inlet for the factory Nismo oil cooler this 34R has. This example features the Nismo catback exhaust as well. An HKS turbo timer was installed for safety. The 34R also features Nismo coilover suspension which makes it feel tighter than factory applications. Paired with the wide Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, it grips the road diligently.
This 34R highlights the capabilities it has in factory form. Being in such excellent condition, it’s an absolute pleasure to drive. With the perfectly functional AC and radio, the south Florida heat is no struggle like it is in some other classics. Performance-wise, it pulls smoothly gear to gear. The suspension feels very tight, there are no misfires and the cabin is filled with the enhanced vocals of the high-revving RB26 thanks to the Nismo exhaust
