RMC is proud to represent a true example and essence of a radical street RWB with all creature comforts, sounds, looks, and condition that will stand out beyond any RWB you’ve seen.
With the high number of RWB Porsches being built over the past decade, there have been many that leave a lot to be desired in terms of performance. A proper RWB is more than just the kit and wheels, it should be set up in a manner that allows it to take full advantage of the added rubber fitted under its wide arches. The original intended purpose of the kits was to fit a larger wheel and tire package allowing the car to generate more mechanical grip thus improving lap times. “idlers” tire lettering can be seen stenciled on almost every RWB, its not just a cool looking logo/name added to the sidewalls, its the wheel-to-wheel racing series RWBs have been scene racing in for over 20 years, these radically wide Porsches were not intended to be garage queens they were built to perform.
Car has been long term owned in this set up in Japan where it would see some light track days and spirited back road driving when the itch needed to be scratched. Engine had a top end rebuild less then 10k km ago with the gaskets to prevent leaks between case and head. Promodet being who they are even a stockish rebuild is done with a few tricks, this is a very fast 3.6L. Maf Conversion was and still is a very popular way to tune these 3.6’s, it wakes them up drastically, lots of information on these but very hard to get nowadays.
Promodet race header and one-off muffler allows for subtle yet beautiful note, after wot around 4k rpm it runs into a different exhaust… just perfection.
The fitment, all of it. Sits ridiculous, most people scratch there head when they see a stretched 335 rear and say can you even drive? … yes, and drive it hard.
The 964RS light weight flywheel paired to the OS Giken 1.5 Limited Slip differential makes for perfect rotation under hard cornering. The G50 it self is in perfect condition.
Overall the chassis has never had any damage, repainted to a very deep black on the factory delete 964 C2 chassis it shines like a show car with little patina.
Interior is half street and half race, the rear section has had th sound deadening removed and glistens. A perfect dash, nerd, and very comfortable yet sporty Recaro Sportsters hug you perfectly as you row gears with the CAE shifter. The cold A/C allows for comfy street driving, there is no sacrifice of creature comforts.
Aragosta Coilovers are the Go-To for Nakai and all PROPER RWB’s. Perfect city feel and not to harsh over bumps but under load feels like true sports car. The huge Turbo brakes with huge rotors do not lack any stopping power… and they look badass.
