SETUP DETAILS

Now available at RMC Miami is an early 2000’s style MKIV Supra with a rowdy, high budget setup – Fully built motor by Manic Tech Racing out of Ft Lauderdale paired with a massive 76mm precision turbo currently makes 800whp on E85 at 28psi; well capable of making up to 1000whp safely. The internal setup is well sorted for high power starting off with a Molnar H-beam rod setup paired with Wisco 10.5:1 compression pistons and BC 272 cams. Studs, bearings and the head gasket have all been upgraded to suit the power output while all other seals are OEM Toyota.

The original V160 6-speed shifts smoothly with an easy-to-operate RPS triple disc clutch. There is no grinding nor are there any issues going into reverse. A Haltech Elite 2500 ECU ( & jumper harness) take care of management and a plug & play R35 coil kit was used to increase ignition output. For fueling, two Walbro 450 in-tank pumps feed 2200cc injectors and a flex fuel sensor was installed to keep the setup user-friendly. 

CONDITION REPORT

This example is finished in classic Super Red IV (aka Renaissence Red) paint which shows decent condition around the entire body including the molded body kit. Underneath sits a wide set of ADV.1 ADV5 “Track Function” wheels (polished lip, brushed face) which stand out against the deep red exterior. The lips show no rash and the polished surface finish shows no fading. There is no rust anywhere on the body including the underside. The headlights are in excellent condition, showing no fade or yellowing. 

On the interior you will find a his/hers Sparco bucket seat setup with matching 4-point harnesses  which hold you firmly but are still comfortable. The original dash is in decent condition with no major imperfections in the leather.  The trunk is gutted since there was a sound system at one point and a 6pt cage is included in the build (although the door bars have been removed). 

Driving this Supra is a blast. It’s easy to operate and cruises well on the highway courtesy of TEIN adjustable coilovers and there is no clunking or rattling in the suspension. A proper radiator and fan setup allows it to be usable in Miami traffic. Off boost it drives like stock but once you get on power, the Precision 76/75 spools quickly for its size. The Haltech ECU implements safeties based on ethanol content and operating temperatures as well. Overall, this example is mechanically turn-key and serves as a good cosmetic project or it can be enjoyed as is. The full setup can be found below and in the build receipts.
