The FD RX7 has been a chassis most recognized for attributes such as weight and balance for decades and its racing pedigree over the years translated to the road, creating an excellent base with a plethora of aftermarket support. RE Amemiya sits at the forefront of Rotary performance with heavy involvement in motorsport since the 90’s and their tuning support has been proven by long result list from JGTC to professional drifting. 

RMC Miami is pleased to offer a fully tuned and documented FD3S example featuring a full RE Amemiya exterior, a 500hp single turbo 13B setup and fine-tuned chassis/suspension setup that combines street friendly mannerisms with full road racing explosive capability. 

The exterior is finished in Chaste White with a GT-AD body kit and over and underbody functional aero which creates a supercar-esque look while adding tons of newly available grip from both the aero and widened trackwidth. The kit is also complimented by a Voltex Type II carbon wing.

The powertrain setup has one goal in mind: strong and consistent output with excellent response. The street ported 13b by FEED paired with a Greddy TD07-25g turbo puts out around 500 hp. Is that a lot in today’s standards? Not necessarily. But in a 2800lb car it’s a lot to handle and plenty for the circuit. Cooling for water, air and lubrication has all been upgraded as well. The clutch feel is lightweight and easy to get used to and shifting is crisp with a FEED knob. Power delivery (at adequate RPM) is practically instant and boost is controlled by a Blitz SBC controller. Dyno sheets are available upon request. With circuit performance in mind, this FD was fitted with a surge tank to prevent starvation and an upgraded fuel pressure regulator. Startup is instant and low-speed maneuverability is easy with no flooding or overheating issues. 

Behind a set of Pressed Graphite Volk TE37 wheels is a track-oriented suspension setup which retains street usability. Silvers coilers, a brembo big brake kit with a squared 4-piton setup (retaining an E-brake) with rear bias valve , all spherical bushings and so on. The steering feel is extremely direct with good weighting and compliments the motorsport-inspired chassis layout the FD chassis already has. The dampers and ride height are well-tuned making it not overly stiff and promote easy street driving. 

The interior layout is pretty direct. A BRIDE his/hers (Zieg/Vios) seat setup with adjustable rails, Schroth harnesses, an upgraded shifter and MOMO 350mm steering wheel compliment the factory dash and door cards. A 4-point Cusco roll bar is functional but not invasive to the occupants. Assorted Defi gauges on the dash give pressure and temperature readouts. The center AC vent shows no signs of cracking which is a common issue with FDs and the door cards are in great condition with carbon inserts. The highlight of the interior? Functional AC. Making this example a breeze to drive on the street. 

Overall, we think its the perfect combination. An aggressive neck-breaking and functional exterior, great power and response, crisp suspension feel and a breeze to drive on the street or the track.
