1997 Honda NSX NA2 Coupe
The Honda Nsx was and still is arguably the best car to have been produced by a Japanese automaker. There are a multitude of reasons why this is the case ranging from being the only car to have been produced with a planned 30 year life span, to providing one of the best driving experiences of the past 30 years. In the year 1997 the Nsx received its first major mechanical change moving from the 270hp C30A to the 290hp C32B, along with a close ratio 6 speed. Following 1995 the vast majority of NSX’s sold were in a Targa top configuration with only a few exceptions, starting in 1997 with the introduction of the NA2 the coupe became available again as a special order.
Now available for Purchase is this beautiful RHD 1997 NA2 coupe with a clean Florida Title, finished in Grand Prix White (GPW) over black with just over 50 thousand real miles (80,670 kilometers) and is consistent with the mileage shown in service records (78,124 Km documented on 07/23/2021). In terms of rarity this spec is up there, an NA2 coupe is already a rare spec let alone a GPW NA2 coupe, to signify the rarity of this spec a special gold door sill cover was added from factory which reads “NSX Custom Made by Honda Tochigi Factory” along with the VIN number, year of production and production number. Some light modifications have been performed, which includes a set of double staggered 18/19 BBS RG-R wheels with matching Red BBS lug nuts, Tein S.TECH lowering springs, and a Full Route-Ks DK Power exhaust with headers. The Exhaust is not that loud and adds a great tone, especially at higher RPM.
Grand Prix White is not only a rare color for the NSX but also a very good looking one, the exterior of the car is in very good condition with no significant imperfections present. With its lowered stance and more aggressive wheels the car sits great, all four of the wheels are in great condition with no curb rash. The Interior is in good condition with only some minor wear on the driver side outside bolstering, the factory headunit has been replaced with a Carrozzeria headunit along with the addition of a Subwoofer in the passenger footwell and an Amp fitted behind the passenger seat. Included with the car are the 4 original keys including the titanium key, all buttons and functions work as they should, including the A/C as well as the heat. Overall the condition of the car is very good with no significant problems.
The driving experience is exactly as you would expect, the suspension is slightly stiffer than stock but still very compliant over bumps and dips, the increase in power with the 3.2 is very noticeable along with the shorter gearing of the 6 speed, both of these make for a car that pulls strong. V-TEC engages perfectly and the engine pulls through the rev range both smoothly and quickly, and each gear goes in without any issue. With the addition of the exhaust, the engine has a fantastic tone but isn’t too loud whatsoever.
