1997 BMW M3 (E36)

From the land of the rising sun hails this gorgeous Euro/ROW spec E36 M3 built with circuit driving in mind.  Amazingly enough, this M3 is also a blast to drive on the street & delivers power and feel that U.S. E36’s lack.  Proper coilovers and adjoining suspension components allow for a firm but reasonable ride across different types of paved surfaces (and can be adjusted to your liking).  The grip (or “Gs”) this car puts out is nothing short of extrordinary but without being intimidating.  Point & shoot.  Braking is spectacular with a front mounted AP Racing BBK assited by BMW M-Performance calipers out back.  A solid bite with rational pedal feel, & no strange warm up cycles.  Underneath the bonnet, rests one of the best engines to come out of ///M GmbH; The S50B32.  This was the powerplant used on the facelift iteration of non-U.S. based E36 M3s.  It became known for it’s true-to-motorsport characterstics such as it’s peppyness & high revs (7,600 RPM).  The unit in this car has been enhanced with a tune, intake, exhaust & a pair of headers.  The driveline in the car has also been sorted with the use of a Kaaz 3.91 (1.5 way) differential & OS Giken twin-disc clutch for efficient power delivery.  RMC Miami has been home to many amazing E36s but its without the shadow of a doubt that this one might very well be the most special.

The exterior of the car has undergone a proper color to Porsche’s Ruby Stone including door jambs, interior & trunk area.  The engine compartment has been kept original in Dakar Yellow as a show of appreciation of the sought after color, in addition to presenting an accident free engine compartment.  A limited car requires limited parts, and in this car’s case the Varis aero pack being already rare in Japan, let alone the states.  This style of E36 M3 is often attempted here in the states, but rarely [properly] executed.
